home. If you do choose to do the dog training yourself, it is best to get educated on dog training.

There are 3 basic things your dog should learn through basic dog training. These are: sit, stay, and come. The first part of dog training is to teach your dog to sit. To start this
dog training, you will first need some dog treats.

Do this dog training in a quiet environment so your dog doesn’t get distracted. Tell your dog to sit repeatedly as you hold the dog treat just over their head. This way the dog has to look up and may sit on there own to reach the treat.

If not, gently push there rear down. When they sit, praise them and reward them with a treat. This kind of dog training works because the dog constantly hears “sit” and will learn to associate the command with sitting and receiving praise.

Going through dog training is something every dog owner should do. Anyone can appreciate a well behaved dog. But did you know that there a several different kinds of dog training and not all are right for your dog?

Most people aren’t even aware of the different types of dog training. The different types of dog training are based for dogs at different stages.

Some dogs have had dog training before, while others have had none. Because of this, it is best that you know which kind of dog training to put your dog in.

The first type of dog training is basic dog training. This type of dog training can be for puppies or for adult dogs that have never received any type of dog training. This course teaches dogs to sit, stay, and come.

Basic dog training also emphasizes socialization skills(especially for puppies). Good socialization skills teach your dog to get along with other dogs and people.

If your dog has never had any dog training, it needs to start with basic dog training.

The next type of dog training is intermediate dog training. This is not for puppies. Intermediate courses are for any adult dogs who have either been through basic dog training or for dogs that have been trained the basics well enough by their owner.

Intermediate courses teach dogs to heel, walk proper on a leash, fetch and return, and it also goes over the basics of dog training in more detail (sit, stay, come, etc.).

This course is only for very well behaved dogs.

All of these dog training courses should utilize positive reinforcement (praise and rewards). They should not use any negative training techniques (hitting or yelling). Be sure that you pick a dog training course that only uses positive reinforcement.

Here are five easy to use training tips for your new puppy.

1.) Chewing Problems - The most effective solution to a puppy chewing on something he shouldn’t is
to not discipline him, but to simply replace the object that he is chewing with a chew toy and then to raise him greatly for chewing on his chew toy. Positive encouragement is what a puppy will respond to the most.

2.) House Training - The easiest way to house train your puppy is to always take him out immediately after his meal. Wait for him to go. Once he goes, praise him greatly. He’ll soon get the idea that going outside is the correct thing to do.

3.) Playtime - When you are thinking about getting a puppy, make sure you have the appropriate time to give to your dog. Estimated necessary time is about 10-30 minutes for eating (3 times a day), 10-30 minutes for a walk (3 times a day) and about an hour of playtime with your dog. Most people don’t realize the amount of time that a healthy puppy will require.

4.) Dog Crates - Dog Crates can have a positive impact on both the dog and the owner. It’ll give the dog a safe and secure area that is very close the “den” like atmosphere that dogs had in the wild. Once a dog is comfortable with a crate, it’ll allow the owner to safely transport the dog and help to house train a puppy (they won’t want to do business in their den).

5.) Hide The Chocolate - When getting ready for halloween, make sure you keep the candy out of reach of the dog, especially chocolate. Chocolate is very dangerous to a dog. It can make the dog very very sick. If you suspect that your dog has eaten chocolate, you should your veterinarian IMMEDIATELY.
